Wild Mountain Pecan Granola began on a mountainside in Alaska, just north of Fairbanks with breathtaking Mt. McKinley prominent in the distance. For years I had been making granola for my family using the Alaskan wild cranberries combined with pecans from our own farm in Texas. As I was sitting there picking berries on the mountainside, surrounded by the pristine beauty all around me, I thought of the name for our granola. Wild Mountain Pecan Granola combines the best of both worlds and is a delightful variation on a wholesome family favorite.
